Welcome to Spring Terrace Church

Welcome to Spring Terrace Church located centrally in the wonderful seaside city of Swansea! (SA1 3TD) We are an Assemblies of God Pentecostal church that was founded in the 1950’s by Pastor Trevor Hewitt. Simon and Helen Moores are the current Pastors and have been since August 2010, but form part of an overall leadership team (click button church leaders). Our aim is to be a contemporary expression of God’s love to the local community and city at large.

At Spring Terrace we love people and recognise the importance of developing authentic relationships in a world where there is so much anonymity and impersonality in the work place and everyday life. We love God’s family and see each person as of tremendous value to God and therefore to us too. We look to provide a ‘family feel’ and a safe and secure base for people to explore their relationship with God, as well as allowing people the opportunity to bless others and be blessed in return. We also recognise we have a mission to bring the good news to others and also to ‘live’ in the knowledge of it ourselves too.

We currently have two meetings on a Sunday. Worship is generally contemporary with guitars, and although we mainly have modern songs we also include hymns from time to time for those who prefer a more traditional style. There is a Sunday School available in the mornings (see link for more details) for children of all ages from 11.45am – 12.30pm We also have homegroups that meet on Tuesday evenings alternately with Bible Study and Prayer in the church.

Our heart is to see people come to a real and ‘living’ faith in the Lord Jesus Christ through hearing and accepting the GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL (LINK http://www.thekristo.com) and therefore we run several outreach activities (Click button weekly program). With this in mind we aim to provide an environment that will allow those who are making their first enquiries regarding the Christian faith to do so in an informal and relaxed way through regular ‘just looking’ courses such as the Y course, Soul and Christianity Explored http://www.ycourse.com/ , http://www.ceministries.org/soul/ and http://www.christianityexplored.org/

Additionally, we believe that God has given every person unique gifts, abilities and talents that should be allowed to flourish for the purpose of building up His church, and therefore we will do everything we can to help people to develop their ‘New Life’ as a Christian. Spring Terrace is a 21st century church!
