Spring Terrace AOG church is situated in the Sandfields area of Swansea close to the City centre. We have been here for over fifty years. The church was pioneered by Pastor Trevor Hewitt, who was the pastor of the church from 1951 until 1981.

Sandfields, although near the heart of this great City of Swansea, is like a small village. It contains 1500 homes, occupied mostly by families that have been there for generations. There are 11 Christian churches in the area, two mosques, the City and County of Swansea County Hall, Swansea Guildhall, Swansea prison, two primary schools, numerous small businesses and several large ethnic communities, including Bangladeshi, Chinese and African, and until recently the Vetch Football ground, home to the Swans Football Club.

The church is in fellowship with Assemblies of God, Great Britain, and is evangelical and pentecostal. It had an excellent history in the early years, being a focus of pentecostal teaching and particularly in prophetic ministry. Prophecies given to the church over forty years ago are being fulfilled today. One of the most remarkable prophecies was that people would come from the walls of China.

Today, the Swansea Chinese Church who number about 80-100 believers, actually meet at Spring Terrace church. Many of their members are from Chinese communities in Malaya, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland itself.

| |
The leaders of the Christian churches in Sandfields meet together at Spring Terrace about four times a year to discuss and cooperate on meeting the needs of the local community. To date, we have organised a bar-b-que, Christmas Carol singing around the area, a Victorian Christmas Fayre and a Lantern Parade involving every part of the community.
